ok but not great. Nice ruby brown with small head and soft prickly carbonation. Not too sweet. Flavor is mostly malts, brown sugar and some bitter hops. there is a nice spicy note and a metallic element that’s less favorable. Body is a bit thin. In most bocks the roasted malts are a big part of the flavor. I do not like it when that dominates. This is the first bock I feel has too little.

0,3 liter fles. @home. Schuim valt direct weg. Smaak valt mee doch de alcoholsmaak bederft veel.

Clear amber colour, beige head. Spicy, malty aroma and taste: sweet and bitter. Soft mouthfeel, good body, medium carbonation. Pleasant drink.

Clear mahogany with small white head. Roasted malts and grains, lots brown sugar and a touch of ash. Some spices and a weird vegetal touch. Very sweet with slight bitter finish. Watery feel. Actually not too bad for a macro bock.

33cl bottle with the new style brand botles, which is nice.. Appearance: red brown with a 1 finger sized head. Aroma: A bit Weak, sweet malt, caramel Taste: Sweet Dutch doppelbock, caramelised malts, some herbal hops and a inish with some roasted malts and light nuts. Which medium body, average carbonation. Decent a bit too sweet starting (Typical for Dutch bocks) but the finish provided a decent balannce. Lacks however complexity.

Bottle from Albert Heijn. Poured a clear dark amber with a frothy white head and a little lace. The aroma is sweet malt, caramel. The flavour is moderate sweet, light bitter with a rich malt, light metallic hop bitter palate. Medium bodiied with soft carbonation.

0.33L bottle. Pours clear red-brown with a small, tan head. Nice malt aromas, bubblegum, cinammon, caramel. Medium sweetness at beginning, quickly going to an ample, herby hop and roasted malt bitterness. Finishes with some nutty malt and alcohol. Full body with a thinnish mouthfeel and average carbonation. Overall, not my favorite doppelbok. Nice aromas, but no complexity, and goes too quickly to bitterness and alcohol.
