Dark red-brown. Aromas of malt and caramel. Nice and smooth with sweetnees nicely balanced with bitterness. Misses the fullness and creamyness of the great (dubbel) bocks.

300ml bottle. Clear reddish dark amber colour with small to average, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, beige head. Sweetish malty aroma, hints of rock sugar, malt lozenge, caramel. Taste is moderately sweet malty, hints of malt lozenge, caramel, a touch of burnt caramel, cautious dry hoppy overtones.

A nice, dark, clear ruby-red beer with a firm, dark, brown layer of foam. It has a nice sweet, caramel-like aroma. It also tastes sweet and licorice like, with the touch of alcohol. It finishes with a subtile bitter aftertaste.

25cl en pression with proper glass. Amsterdam. Appearance: Amber copper creamy off white head fairly clear. Aroma: Not a lot standing out. Roasted barley. Cellar notes. paper. Taste: Sweet with a weak flavor bitter. Palate: thin. Normal carbonation. Oily mouthfeel. Overall: I was hoping for much more from a dubbel bock this lacked flavor and texture.

Sterke smaak van een soort rokerige stroop. Wel sterk van smaak, maar die vind ik niet zo.
