Very nice bock beer. Toasted malts, mild caramel and sweetness and a medium bitterness, very well balanced and tasty. Not as sweet as most bock’s, which i’m no fan of.

6.11.2014. Dark red, brown head. Aroma of sweet caramel syrupy malts. Taste is similar, quite sweet, you can feel the alcohol. Not bad but rather simple.

Keg at Cafe Gollem. Pours clear brown, aroma and taste are sweet and malty.

Beautiful beer. Head could be better. Malty aroma. Bitter chocolate, coffee and malty taste. Red-brown colour. Very nice!

Robust and creamy head. The aroma is slightly fruity and a little yeast. Beer flavor is coffee, alcohol is not perceptible, lightly bitter beer. Really delicious, I encourage you to try

Ambrée/Brune, bon équilibre entre l’amertume et la douceur. Pas fan de style de bière en temps normal, mais elle passe bien après un bon repas.

30cl bottle, best before MRT 16. The beer starts malty-sweetish, hints of mould, hints of alcohol. Sweetish-flat, dry molasses, somehow herbal, burned sugar, dry caramel. Nearly no sweetness there, bitter-herbal aftertaste, very dry but still refreshing. On the tongue remains a medicine-like herbal bitterness with hints of burned sugar. Very interesting!

A brandnew design from the oldest still operating brewery of the Netherlands. This alone is fantastic. This Doppelbock itself is good, still it could have more character and body.

One of the best commercial bockbeers. Fulltime body, a little to less carbonation.
