Unimpressive head. Smells malty. Tastes malty with a smooth bitter finish. However, the beer is a bit too much on the caramel-sweet side. Prefer the hoppier Brand UP.

Deep golden-amber colour with creamy steady head and smooth body. Nose of malt. Taste of strong "mild" alcohol, intense light malt, straw, hay, cloves, roses and burnt caramel. Light sweet finish, very easy and nice to drink.

Bottle shared with McTapps. Pours in light brown with medium carbo. No real nose, quite noseless you could say. Aroma of toffee, bit alcohol and some malt. Typical Bock with some quaffness. Nice, but no rocket science.

30 cl. bottle @ home, bought online @ Mitra.nl. Deep amber colour with an off-white head. Strong malty aroma. Caramel taste with some lightly roasted malts. Good long bitter aftertaste.

Strong beautiful deep amber red color. Sweet and long taste. Well rounded. Recommended.

Aroma: malty, little fruity, caramel; Appearance: amber, clear, small off-white head; Taste: medium bitterness, little(+) sweetness; Palate: medium body, little oily, average carbonation, quite long bitterwsweet "warm" finish; Overall: quite good, without flaws, is it really a dunkler bock? not sure: too light in color to be "dunkler" and not so "bocky" to be Bock ;)

Bottle@home, 30 cl. Head: beige foam. Colour: clear copper. Aroma: malt, hops. Taste: malt, bitter-sweet. Palate: full-bodied bitter-sweet finish, medium CO2. Overall: very nice bock.

On tap at Schiphol. Deep clear amber, medium head. Fruity and nutty caramel, semi-sweet. Not bad for a macrobrew.

Bernsteinfarben mit viel leckerem Schaum obendrauf. In der Nase aromatischer Hopfen. Der Antrunk ist dann kräftig und vollmundig. Geschmacklich reich nach Trockenobst und Karamell-Malz. Der Abgang dürfte ruhig etwas herber sein, aber ansonsten ein gelungener Bock dieser Brand Imperator! Dank je wel!
