Why do all these Dutch brewers defile the name ’oud bruin’? This is mudd water.

(bottle) pours a clear dark ruby colour with a frothy beige head. aroma of bread dough and banana skins, quite metallic, with a faint hint of roasted malts and raisins. flavour is mostly the same, roasted malts, raisins and light cardboard, with a heavy coca-cola-like sweetness. light-bodied with average carbonation.

Typical Oud Bruin as I remember my mother drinking it. Dark brown color with decent light brown foam head. Aroma is bit weak, some caramel. Taste is pretty sweet, sugar and caramel, some nut tones. Bit too sweet for my taste. (Den Haag 201307)

Bottle. Clear dark brown with a small light tan head. Aroma is mildly doughy and nutty with little else. Flavor is sweet caramel and cola, very sweet. Medium body with a sugary feel. Taste just like cola, very little beer qualities.
