2.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
30cl Bottle from AH. Clear deep dark ruby - brown colour, beige head. Aroma is sweet, caramel, brown sugar, some pumpernickel, hint of roast, cocoa. Flavour is likewise, quite sweet, sugary, metallic, but not as sweet as moat other Dutch Oud Bruins. Almost came across as second running from their Dubbelbock.

2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
330 ml. bottle sample @ train-ride post Oersoep / Van Moll Festival week-end with Sebletitje. Cheers! Purchased @ Albert Heijn. BBF 04/2016. Reddish dark brown, little tanned head. Nose is super sweet, candy sugar, hugely artificial, chemical, extracts, crazy sweet. Taste is super sweet extracts, caramel syrup, hugely artificial. Very artificial body. Good for a table beer I suppose, the ABV is too high for that. Good if you something akin to beer mixed with Coca-Cola.

1.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 5/20
I like sweet but this kind of sweet is unbearable. Yucky headache inducing sweetness, feels like the sugar granules are still in it.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Black beer with ruby highlights. Trasparent with a nice big lightly brown head.
Smell is caramel and apples. Touch of cinnamon, bread.
Taste is very sweet! Very litle carbonation, almost like drinking lemonade? Touch of fizziness. Flat.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 9/20
Smooth-sweetish beginning. Malty and fresh, nice malty bitter till the end. Hints of burned sugar, but sadly aroma of artificial sweetener. The aftertaste is slightly bitter, burned, dark and malty-sweet. Not bad and easy to drink!

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Clear pour with nice, lacy head. Faint aroma of clean steel and fresh grass. Taste dominated by full malt and bread-like presence. Dry aftertaste with side of sweet malts. A bit too strong, bitter aftertaste for the style. Fresh experience anyhow.

1.5 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 3/20
0.33L bottle. Pours clear dark brown with a frothy tan head that dissipates quickly. Fairly mild aromas: anice, cooked vegetables, Flavor in unidimensionally sweet. Tastes like sweet toffee, malt, with a very mild bitterness and some nut coming in at the end. Despite being sweet, it’s not cloying. Medium body with a pretty thin mouthfeel and mild carbonation. Overall, very sweet with little depth of character. Not my favorite style of beer, but this beer is slightly less sweet than others of this variety.

2.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bread and chocolate aroma with coffe touches. Head that dissapeared fast. A beer that might call itself old but tasted very to added brown sugar. Nothing special but worth a try.

30cl bottle at home. Dark brown with a medium beige head. Light body with light to medium carbonation. Sweet with some bitter tones. Caramel, brown sugar, bread, malts and herbs. Too sweet and malty for my taste.
