1.9 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Bottle at home. Pretty weak. Now I see why, it’s low alcohol. Quite sweet. I remarked that it was like drinking a brown coca-cola and my family agreed. Pretty watery, too sweet and not all all interesting or remarkable in any way. Brand beers are generally quite good though. Can’t believe that Michael Jackson recommended this one.

2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Dark brown pour with medium sized head. This had a sweet malty aroma with a too sweet malty finish. Average.

2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Bottle. Beautiful dark red/brown colour with nice beige head. Sweet and malty aroma along with caramel and metal. Very sweet flavour (almost like hvidtøl) with hints of mocca and only slight bitterness. It looks fantastic, but the rest doesn’t quite add up...

UPDATED: AUG 8, 2007 33cl bottle
Consumed at Bierspeciaalcafe De Paas, Den Haag, May 2006
Dark brown body with a small dark tan head, almost purple in the light at the pub. Smell of stale cigarette tobacco and ashes. Very sweet caramelized sugars and nasty nut flavors. Like a really terrible soda.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Pours the colour of cola with a nice lacing. Malty aroma. Sweet, but with a hint of malt and grass. Watery, but that’s to be expected at this ABV.

2.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Bottled. Rubyish amber colour, mediumsized beige head. Aroma is caramellish malts with hints of strawberries. Flavour is toffeeish, very candylike. But at the same time quite watery, not that exciting. Lack of alcohol leads to lack of "beerish" ingredients. More like a soda or lemonade.

1.9 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
Bottled (BB 08/2006)
Dark ruby, good tan head. Grassy, ashy malty nose. Sweetish (saccarine) and crisp. Sugary aftertaste. Quite a lot of n/a -beer character here.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Another from Poperinge. Dark ruby brown. Mild head. Woody malt aroma. Very sweet and malty with a trace of smoked wood. Too sweet for my taste. Like a chocolate cookie soaked in beer.

2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Bottled. Sweet butterscotch aroma. Ruby color, light brown head, good lace. Very sweet, butterscotch, sugar, light bitterness, dust, full, little sticky. Too artificial sweetened but not really very bad.

1.8 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20
Flavor has caramelled sugar, chichorei and coffee. Sweet and a nasty kind of bitterness.
