3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours a clear ruby colour with a small head and excellent carbonation.
Smell is sweet, almost like a kriek beer, some cherries there. Also some other sweet fruits
and some spices there.
Taste is very sweet, again almost like a kriek beer, but much better, more beerish and
good alcohol going down.

Welcome back to life Sylvester. This is around a lot of localAmsterdam cafes and it is a welcome antidote to the cold. Very vinous with some cheery notes this is a very good beer. Excellent coppery colour and presentation in the glass promise a good beer which is not a disappointment. Great bitter blanace and fine aftertaste. A real alternative to a wine and this could be served at room temperature.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
UPDATED: FEB 25, 2011 From tap, Cafe Morshuis in Albergen. Sweet and rather alcoholic flavor. Butterscotch and a hint of cherry. Buttery with some pale ale-like hopbitterness. I liked the bottled version better, but that has sadly disappeared from the market.
2010 bottle, tasted feb 2011. Amber color. Maltaroma with cookie dough. malty sweet, doughy flavor with soft perfumed notes. Hints of alcohol. Not unpleasant, but lacks some character. Rating unchanged.
