Very, very nice full bodied pilsener. The taste is hard to describe but it’s really authentic and hoppy. The commercial description says: ’strong taste, dry aftertaste’, and that’s right. I only drank this beer in bottles, I’d like to try it on tap.

For a pilsener, this is actually really nice! Refreshing because of the hoppy aftertaste, this is a perfect pilsener for the summer!

16/V/15 - 33cl bottle @ the Abeels (NL) - BB: VII/2015 (2015-639) Thanks to the Abeels for sharing the bottle!

Clear pale blond beer, irregular white head, unstable, non adhesive. Aroma: malty, sweet, little grassy, some citrus. MF: ok carbon, medium to light body. Taste: little malty, some marzipan, pretty bitter, grassy. Aftertaste: bitter, little malty, dry, bit medicinal, meh...

[Draught at Festina Lente, Amsterdam, May 17] 15th rating of my Paris/Amsterdam trip. Pours a clear gold with an average size diminishing frothy white head and some lacing. Aroma of grassy hops, a bit sweet, and with grain, some caramel malt, fruit and corn. Flavour is hoppier then expected, grassy and sweet along with hints of corn and grain. Average bitter finish. Just O.K. but better then expected.

Nice. Almost like a Belgian ale. Malty with a bit more hops than a standard pilsner. Decent.

Very nice beer. The beer is a pilsner for beer lovers. It is a crystal clear golden beer. The snow white foam disappears quickly, like on every pilsner. The beer is way more bitter than a regular pilsner. It also has a fruity tone. There is much more taste in this brew than in a regular pilsner, much mor sophisticated.

Tasted as Brand Urtyp years ago, rating from old notes. Clear pale golden blonde, frothy snow white head, good fizz. Malt sweet character, grainy and a bit bready, bit metallic, with some grassy hops in the finish establishing a subtle bitterness. Not great and not on the same level as the best actual Bohemian Urtyps, but clearly of better and more ’pure’ quality than the regular Brand Pilsener and to be preferred over most other Dutch macro lagers.
