COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottled by Branded Drinks Limited.
Originally brewed by Ash Vine, then by Heritage when they bought up the rights to the Ash Vine brands, and then contract brewed by Hobdens Wessex for Heritage who sent some beer to Wessex Craft Brewers for bottling. Wessex Craft Brewers changed name to Integrated Bottling Solutions, then to Branded Drinks and appear to have acquired the rights to the brand. Currently (2011) brewed at RCH.
A clean crisp flavoured beer, a beer of two halves.

500ml bottle from Nina’s Mini Market, Edinburgh - amber brown with a slight haze, roasted nutty malt aroma, bubbly beige head, bit metallic, caramel flavour, strong bitter malty aftertaste

Bottle, as pictured, but brewed by RCH at 4% ABV. Deep-headed, bright honey bronze. Smells like an ancient, dusty carpet in need of a shampoo. Some good, spilt coffee, walnut and varnished pine notes seeping out. Pretty full flavoured for a 4% bitter with more resinous pine, cream and walnut suggestions. Astringent, radicchio bitterness to finish. Hoppy in its own way, lightly mildewed. Suck more carpet. Not bad.

I’ve got a bottle of RCH - Sweet F.A. I’m sure its the same and I’m surprised its not well liked. This is a good beer, I’ve rated some poor ales recently, this is very good. Plenty of flavour, banana, toffee possibly in this, a seriously tasty malty bitter, colour is a light gold. Definite 4.

23 june 2011, bottle. light orange/tan, clear, no bubbles, thin foamy head. sweet, yeasty bread malt, bananas, toffee, and pub ale. thin/med body and slightly fizzy. sugary malt and some faint spices. granted, flavours are more pronounced than most british beers. i’m still not impressed

I’m intrigued by this beer. It is on here as "Retired" but it appears to have been resurrected - I know this because I drank a bottle of it last night! The label is identical except the scroll at the top says "RCH Brewery" although it appears Branded Drinks Ltd are the ones selling it. I picked this up at Rhythm & Booze, Cottingham, East Yorks for the princely sum of £1. Anyway, onto the beer. Pours pale, so much so that it looks almost like a lager. I had low expectations for the taste but was pleasantly surprised to find it highly fruity with a heavy apricot taste in the background. Very pleasant indeed and well worth my quid.

A Mes rate: bottle from god knows where.
Dirty caramel brown with a decent white head. Full on yeasty and oxidised. Tons of caramel. Sickly and sticky. Not good.

Bottle (in NZ), pours a hazy light amber with a frothy off white head. Sweet malty aroma, caramal, and fruit. A decent amount of bitterness on the palate, sweet fruity (kiwifruit) flavour with quite a tang in the finish, and caramal malt.

Cloudy with a small head. Aroma of rotten fruit. Had some lacing on glass. Had a taste of syrupy fruit.

Very bitter, fresh but tinny aroma. Once it settles, honey comes through. Slightly cloudy, thin lace. Light copper colour. the flavour was of sweet honey, smooth syrup like texture. Slight bitterness.
