Dorqui (1552) - Brescia, - MAR 23, 2011
Draught at "Fermento" in Brescia.
Dark brown color, impenetrable and deep. Optimal head of long resistance. Nice aspect. Roasty aroma; notes of ash, roast malt, wood, liquorice. Much bitter taste (pleasantly), alcoholic, good prickly, long final.

Bottle, 4.9%. Rough, roasted aroma. Very dark brown colour. Small, unstable light brown head. Sweetish, roughly roasted flavour with bready notes.

NosirIwont (1586) - Aalborg Vestby, DENMARK - SEP 27, 2006
Bottle. Pours a nice dark brown with a beige/brown head. Sweet malty aroma, a lot like a Danish ‘hvidtøl’. Roasted notes appear as it warms. Flavour is sweetish with malt and faint notes of licorice. Finish is a bit thin; metallic and grassy notes and a lingering bitterness. A tad too much carbonation. 27-09-06.

Bottle - a rye malt aroma. dark brown color. Full rye/oat malt flavor with some sweetness and light hops. A very unique beer - reminds me a bit of Samuel Smith’s oatmeal stout but has a distinct rye flavor to it (like German rye bread not the American kind with caraway seeds).

Clear brown coloured, off-white head. Malty and pretty sweet aroma and flavour. Hopbitter finish. A bit ice-tea like.

jbrus (4990) - Delft, NETHERLANDS - FEB 10, 2003
Horseblanket and carbonation aroma. Light brown, off-white head, few lace. Light sweet, light bitter, bit alcohol flavor, even a bit grainy. Long lasting bitter finish. Probably the most dull and boring dunkel I've ever tasted. More like a bad lager than a dunkel.

Nut brown. Light bodied and roasty. Dry and with some bitterness.
