Cask conditioned handpump Wenlock Arms London. A near black mild with a thin off-white coloured head. The aroma is thin with a slight hint of chocolate, but the mouth is excellent. Tons of chocoalte malt. Some cakey notes too. Tasty and flavoursome. Has a gingerbread feel to it without any spice. Very tasty.

Cask-conditioned at George’s Meeting House (JDW), Exeter 12/05/2012. Almost black in colour with a red undertone and decent, off-white head. Big chocolate powder notes ran through this, both on the aroma and in the flavour, which was quite sweet with a touch of fruitiness. Finish was short and gentle. Good.

[Cask at Chippenham BF] Deep ruby colour, slight fizz. Chocolate aroma. Weird taste of watery cherry cola. Light, dry roastiness. Strange beer, not sure what to make of it. c9
