Cask conditioned @ Mill Arms, Dunbridge. Fruity aroma. Mostly hops with a touch of malt. Faintly unpleasant tea like bitterness in the finish.
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 imdownthepub (7470) - Banbury, Oxfordshire, ENGLAND - APR 21, 2012
Cask conditioned at The Turf Tavern, Oxford. Gold with no head. There is a sulphery aroma to this, eggy, farty leading to quite a bland beer really. There is some fruitiness perhaps, nothing that can be picked out, juicy fruit bubblegum came to mind. A chemical note in the close. Not great.
2.9 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 ALLOVATE (1708) - Butler, WA, AUSTRALIA - OCT 7, 2011
Cask, handpump @ The Bridge Inn, Topsham, Devon. Dimple, full pint. Manages to raise a decent sized white head of foam up and proudly out the lip by a good half inch. Holds and leaves a nice web of lace. The beer a shimmering, bright, sunny yellow gold. The aroma was a little displeasing,; first waft brought sweaty socks and barmats full of Friday night spills. Second whiff had lemon and lime citric notes, but still yielded those nasties. In the mouth, despite the aroma, it was all bitter beer as usual. Nice malt presence, biscuity and toasted grains, quite dry. The backend has a good spark of peppery almost Noble hop notes, earthy, good bitter bite to the swallow dropping off woody, dry and like sucking on a toothpick. Light bodied, well conditioned to reach 5.0% ABV as it seems lighter. Goes down a treat though, could easily session this without a thought, just as long as I don’t go finding more faults with the nose!

Cask, GBBF 07. Clear gold with thin white head. Hoppy and lemony citrus nose. Mouth was watery and hoppy, with some summer fruits. Very gulpable, helped along by the wateriness.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Fin (5749) - Merton, Oxfordshire, England, Oxfordshire, ENGLAND - NOV 22, 2006
Cask handpump at the Masons Arms, Branscombe, Devon 16-11-06. Golden quite clean and crisp tasting reasonable hoppy beer, quite suprised that this was still on in the depths of autumn, but it was and I quite liked it.
2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20 dj (438) - Gloucestershire, ENGLAND - AUG 20, 2006
Cask gravity at the Barnstaple Beer Festival, 19/08/2006. A golden colour with an average head. A hoppy citric aroma. A lightly hoppy taste with grapefruit. The finish is mostly dominated by sour grapefruit. I really don’t like grapefruit, so this was nearly a drain-pour...

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20 chriso (7065) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - DEC 3, 2005
Cask (gravity dispense), at GBBF, August 2005. High condition for a cask beer and generated a large head despite the gravity pour. I don’t usually comment of lacing on a cask beer, but there’s lots of it here. Unsurprisingly, its golden in colour. Not much in the way of aroma. Quite dry and very citric. Distinctly bitter and a bit watery. Not a lot of presence for a 5% beer.
