Bomber: Cloudy orange with a small beige head. Biscuit, caramel scent. Flavour is a rather harsh pine bitter... Fresh bottle, just seems stale. Not great.

marcus (8894) - Sacramento, California, USA - JUN 4, 2014
Pours cloudy amber with an attractive beige head and a toffee aroma. There is a light pale malt flavor with a fairly bitter finish. The base is a bit weak so the hops tip the balance too far to be tasty.

Amber with a small white head. Aroma is strong resinous pine. Flavor is a bit astringent with bitter pine. No malt, could be better balanced. Wife: 3.25

Bottle from Otay: Poured a vibrant glowing orange hue liquid topped with a delicate layer of film foam head. The aroma is subtle with minor whiff of alcohol while stale smells of hops and malts. The flavor had faded away but still holds a strong backing of malts with a taste of stale hops that could have tasted delicious when it was fresh, but the long shelf life has morphed this into an old beer and I have never been one to choose aged beer over fresh beer especially when it is an IPA. It could have had higher scores across the board but I respect the hard work+effort to allow this beer to reach the West Coast, and for that I will not judge too harshly.
