3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pours cloudy amber with an attractive beige head and a toffee aroma. There is a light pale malt flavor with a fairly bitter finish. The base is a bit weak so the hops tip the balance too far to be tasty.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle from Otay: Poured a vibrant glowing orange hue liquid topped with a delicate layer of film foam head. The aroma is subtle with minor whiff of alcohol while stale smells of hops and malts. The flavor had faded away but still holds a strong backing of malts with a taste of stale hops that could have tasted delicious when it was fresh, but the long shelf life has morphed this into an old beer and I have never been one to choose aged beer over fresh beer especially when it is an IPA. It could have had higher scores across the board but I respect the hard work+effort to allow this beer to reach the West Coast, and for that I will not judge too harshly.
