COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Not sure what you just drank? Wheat beer? IPA? Yes, it is. This mysterious ale boasts aromas of tropical fruit, a playful bitter edge, and the body and mouthfeel of an American hefe. Big alcohol and rich white wheat make this unfiltered ale accessible to all types of pallets.

Draft. Amber beer with a cream head. Grapefruit and pine aroma. Grapefruit and caramel flavor. Medium bodied. Good bitterness. Grapefruit and pine linger with caramel and wheat.

Tap at Happy Gnome. Slightly hazy orange pour with a sticky white head. Very interesting - wheat, tropical fruit, hop, some caramel sweetness, and some earthy bitterness. Nice!

Bottle from Davis Beer Shoppe. Pours cloudy amber with a short off-white head and a fruity aroma. There is a full-bodied pale maltish wheat flavor with a slight amount of ester fruitiness. A platypus of a beer, yet pretty tasty.

Bottle. A golden color with a white head. A strong hoppy aroma. The fruit come through at the finish of a bitter bite. A nice full body with a rich finish.

Good, dense, whipped eggwhite-like yellowish head, slowly collapsing over well-carbonated, surprisingly clear orange-amberish beer. Pungent hopsnose of exotic fruit, but also strong background aroma of vegetable frying oil, sweetish. Banana, babyfood. Bitter, hopoils with just a hint at fruity sweetness in the background, not coming through. As if canned exotic fruitmix had been covered with quinine - or iso-alpha acids, of cours. Bitter melon, cakebottom. Very slick hopoily, rather well-bodied. Discreet alcoholwarming. A bit harsh at face value, but it grew on me. Could have another like that.

Bottle. Pours a cloudy orange with paperthin white head that diminishes to nothingt. The aroma is a strong grapefruit and floral. Medium mouthfeel with a strong bitter hop and fruit with nice lingering bitter finish. Really enjoyed this one.

HopRedHead (397) - Perth, AUSTRALIA - MAY 27, 2013
Bottle from Mane Liquor. Basement, fruity/floral hops and a toast/caramel malt aroma. Not much wheat, maybe a dash of banana. Nose seems unbalanced. Taste is better: far more IPA than wheat though. Fruity hops and caramel malt flavours. Solid hop bitterness. Was definitely drinkable, just not sure it was a true wheat IPA.

22 ounce bottle from Cook’s. Malty IPA with big fruity flavors. Slight bitterness. Somewhat too fruity and sticky for my tastes.
