Not sure what you just drank? Wheat beer? IPA? Yes, it is. This mysterious ale boasts aromas of tropical fruit, a playful bitter edge, and the body and mouthfeel of an American hefe. Big alcohol and rich white wheat make this unfiltered ale accessible to all types of pallets.

Bomber from Randalls in Fairview. I rolled this bottle and the sediment hung together like a Star Trek nebula and did its best to defy gravity. A hazed bright golden honey beer with a light gold head of a finger and a half. An aroma of wheat with multi fruit essence. A definite quick hitting bitterness is tasted. There is a strong malt backbone that is nice under all the tartness and fruitiness. This drinks like a Double IPA with big alcohol and big hop tartness. If the fruit is yellow or orange then it is in this beer. Pineapples, oranges, grapefruit, etc. Call this a Wheat Ale or a Double IPA. Whatever it is it is pretty tasty.

Very hoppy, bitter, biscuity. Oranges, pretty good stuff. Alright but overrated

Smells like IPA, new car, and alcohol. Deep orange gold and opaque. Solid lacing and head retention. Tastes like a big IPA but the hops have a unique licorice and rye whiskey character that I haven’t had too much of. The taste changes a lot from start to finish and the transition from note to note is slow so you notice everything. A lot of licorice and anise/ouzo as it goes back. Aftertaste is similar with bourbon/rye whiskey. Excellent structure and great taste.

Aroma is sweet & surgary w/ a slight hoppy scent. Taste is also sugary & sweet, also a slight citrus flavor, very suddle hop presence. The abv is very present. This beer is tasty none the less. I like more hop forward Ipas.

22oz bottle in a tulip. Pours amber with a lacy, off-white head. Aroma of citrusy and piney hops, some pale malts, and a little caramel and wheat and spices. Flavor the same with a good amount of hops. Average texture. A pretty good beer, with a nice blend of the two styles.

Bomber pours a bright clear orange with a medium khaki head. Aroma of hops with tropical and citrus fruits. Taste starts off with fruits then heavy bitterness and alcohol. Yeah the finished poorly.

Pours a clear dark amber with a fairly thick pale golden-wheat head. Strong aroma is quite fruity, mainly orange with some apple and lemon, and a wheaty hint. Flavor is quite hoppy for a wheat, a little bitter, with wheaty and fruity notes, a hint of yeast. Finish has hay, malt, fruity and - whoa, now there’s the hop bitterness, like an angry bobcat scampering down your throat. Quite an item!

UPDATED: APR 15, 2013 Bomber purchased locally. Poured into a tulip pint. Deep hazy orange, can hardly see through the glass. Thick 1 inch puffy white head, looks like alot of carbonation, but surprisingly not. Lots of sweet citrus in the nose and palate. Hoppy resin bitterness on the back end. Pretty interesting brew.

Pours deep hazed gold into a tulip. Bright white head with good retention recedes soapily. Passion fruit, pineapple and grapefruit aromas. Thick with sweet caramel and wheat upfront turning quickly tropical fruits and resin before the bitter grapefruit pith finish.
