Not sure what you just drank? Wheat beer? IPA? Yes, it is. This mysterious ale boasts aromas of tropical fruit, a playful bitter edge, and the body and mouthfeel of an American hefe. Big alcohol and rich white wheat make this unfiltered ale accessible to all types of pallets.

Cloudy orange color, some lace/retention. Aroma is pine, caramel, quite fruity - grapefruit. I donít get the wheat reference. Medium to full bodied, moderate to high bitterness, some alcohol in finish.

Nothing but alcohol in both aroma and taste. Cloudy light amber color. Donít confuse this with Clown Shoes which is brewed at the same contract brewer.

651 ml. bottle. Pours a medium, poorly retained off white head, with slight lacing, over a moderately hazy (after really twirling the bottle) light amber (SRM 10) body.....nose is heavy grapefruit peel, resin.......taste is sweet with pine resin, heavy grapefruit, hints of spice, finishing with a moderate citrus bitterness.......mouth feel medium, slightly sticky, high alcohol burn present, carbonation adds both acid and a pleasant tingle. The hop backbone is dominant in this beer ( possibly Simcoe, Citra or a combination of Galaxy and other Anzac hop creations), and with the very strong citrus and lighter pine bitterness, creates an unbalanced beer. A change in the hop bill would make for a better balance in the hop backbone, increase complexity. The malts do not give enough complexity or mouth feel to stand up to the alcohol. This is almost a high gravity beer ( think Industrial Brews) with added hops. BJCP 6/3/12/4/5

Very similar to the Ninkasi Triceratops DIPA. Cloudy, apricot color and a thin head. Very complex concoction of citrus and pine hops that had me as confused as the Grinch on Christmas, but delighted nevertheless. Shared with friends who werenít used to brews of this nature, but it was well received.

On tap at Beer Market in Vernon Hills. Pours a golden yellow with a white head, nice drops of lace. Aroma has heavy syrupy pine and citrus. Taste is of overripe fruits, salty bitter citrus, pine.and resin. With alcohol. All hops, but ... who needs malt anyway. Finishes overbitter. Likiní the brash stuff.

Bottle, this ale had a hazy orange pour with a slight red near the sides of the glass, it had a two to three finger white and faint off-white head that lowered to a thin cover and ring, it left nice spots and fingers of bubbles on the glass, there was a loose, thin layer of sediment that flowed around when the bottle were poured, the aromas were generous orange fruit with faint lemon citrus, spice and floral hops, toasted malt, faint bread, malt and fruit sweetness, it had flavors of big orange fruit with spice and grass hop, toasted malt and faint bread, fruit and bread-malt sweetness, the finish had hop bitterness that lingered with a orange-lemon citrus ending, the mouth feel was thick and creamy with average carbonation, this drink had lots of orange fruit and citrus with toasted malt, I liked this combination, a nice drink.
