22 oz. Pours a dark brown with a nice mocha colored head. Sticky lacing. Very slow and thick pour. Aroma of roasted coffee and caramel. Taste is dominated by roasted coffee. Nice caramel sweetness and hints of unsweetened cocoa. Bitter coffee balanced with nice oats and sweet caramel. A hint of spice on the finish. Lingering coffee grounds left on the palate. Sticky on the lips. Nice medium body. Definitely not as thick as the pour. Very balanced. A nice strong porter.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
22 ounce bottle, bottled on 11/28/12. Guess Iíll find out if I should have drank this one sooner or not, Iíve had this bottle for about 6 months now and just havenít got around to drinking it until tonight. Served in a snifter, the beer pours dark brown/black with about an inch tan head that sticks around a while. Thereís also a lot of lacing. The brew smells like coffee, roasted malt, milk and bittersweet chocolate, and some brown sugar. Taste is pretty much just like the aroma, but thereís also some burnt/charred malt, and a bit of a mineral flavor noticeable. Mouthfeel/body is medium/full, itís slick and creamy with a decent amount of carbonation. After a year, I think this has held up pretty well. I liked it a lot, itís a good coffee beer. Itís nice and roasty. Next time Iíd like to to try a fresher bottle of this. $10.49 a bomber.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
22oz bottle and on tap -
The beer pours out a pitch black body with a creamy brown head, nice staying power. Aroma is deep, roasted malts, kinda smokey...like smoked figs or something...coffee notes. Flavor is a little more bitter like an over-use of black malts. Perhaps a little too dry for my liking. Like coffee w/o any sugar...dry bakers chocolate....a long dry bitter finish.

4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bomber. Coffee, chocolate, booze, and earthiness. Taste is a combination of booze and light bitterness. Body is heavier but with a watery feel. Good imperial, not too strong and without the licorice/raisin taste that accompanies so many others.

4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Great dark beer. Rubbing alcohol, chocolate dominate the aroma from this thick black beer. Amazing flavors, coffee, licorice, chocolate over a base of tasty sweet malts. Smooth and thick mouth feel. I swear there was enough caffeine in this to elevate my heart rate, good if you miss four Ioko(never forget)

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
22oz bottle pours a viscous, opaque black with some thin, beige head. Nose is very nice, licorice, molasses, malt, coffee, black pepper corns, a hint of smoke, raisin. Flavor is the same, sweet brown sugar, a very complimentary black pepper which smooths out the sweetness, molasses, very little smoke, coffee grounds, finally a little chocolate, some ancho raisin character lurking. Sweet, peppery finish. Hides the alcohol extremely well. Very nice.
