4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20 Cybercat (2449) - Georgia, USA - NOV 16, 2012UPDATED: NOV 17, 2012 Comes out of the bottle a deep sable barely a flea’s eyebrow above black with a thick and rather persistent tan head. Smoky aroma has firm coffee and, interestingly, hoppy notes. Flavor has tones of hops, coffee and chocolate plus some woody hoppy hints. Smooth texture has good body and fizz, and some sass. Wherever you have it, a good one!

Super coffee-forawrd beer, like a coffee radler. Its not terrible, spicy roasty.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 Idiosynkrasie (1818) - Bielefeld, GERMANY - MAY 17, 2013
650ml bottle. Pitch black colour with small, creamy, fairly lasting, minimally lacing, brown head. Aroma has herbal hoppy overtones in the foreground, dark malty basis with intense coffee notes. Taste is dry dark malty, lots of coffee, roasted coffee beans, roast, very subtle sweetness, herbal and grassy hoppy overtones, lasting dry to bitter hoppy finish with hints of alcohol; oily texture, sticky palate. Not really balanced, nice coffee, bad hops.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 sebletitje (5411) - Enghien, BELGIUM - MAY 14, 2013
Bomber split with Tomaz @ home. Love the label design.
3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 GIJOE (127) - Monterey, California, USA - MAY 12, 2013
Pours black with a foamy tan head.
Aroma is a blast of coffee, dark, bitter chocolate, toffee, anise. Flavor is bitter - hugely bitter, but I like it. I love it. I want more of it. Make it hurt, Drill Sergeant, make it hurt!
Full body, very mild carbonation.
Big, burly beast of a beer! Nice!

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 JCB (3792) - Durham, North Carolina, USA - APR 14, 2013
Bomber from Habersham’s, Savannah. Inky dark brown pour, churning carbonation and a heavy look to the beer. Nose was disconcerting: straight Tootsie Roll and faded coffee burn. Kind of heavy mouthfeel, almost oily in places. Flavors were slightly more complex than the nose had suggested, but you don’t get much personality from the base beer and both choc and coffee came across as artificial in the soda fountain sense.
