Cask, The Salmon, Leicester. Black with a firm beige foam. Aromas are caramel and lactose with coffee and hazelnut syrup. Bready yeast with hints of banana. Chocolate milkshake with blackberries. Flavours are sweet malt meal replacement drink with coffee and a nice berry fruitiness. Malty and fruity with dark chocolate bitterness. Very good.

Cask at Craft Beer Co. on 17th December 2011. Solid black with pale brown head. Spicy aroma with vanilla. Coffee and winter berries in-mouth. Quite sweet aftertaste with rich fruit and Christmas cake notes. Thick full body and engaging texture.

Cask at CBC, London. Pours black-brown with a foamy, beige head. Mild lacto roast aroma. Light to medium sweet flavor, some cocoa, light roast, vanilla for sure, and some modest woody bitterness. Medium in body with fine carbonation. Good condition. Lightly sweet, dry finish, some vanilla notes, milk chocolate, faint roast. Good stuff.
