A really enjoyable pint(s) at the Southern in Edinburgh. Full of flavour and still quite drinkable. Not a winter warmer, really, but tasty nonetheless.

Bottle from The Beerhive. Clear amber body with a medium off-white head. Low carbonation. Nice lacing. Aroma of sour grain, blood orange and tea. Flavour of orange marmalade, earth and bitter green hops. Sour finish. Medium body with an oily texture. Soft fizz. Very hoppy, but the bitterness verges into sourness. Improves as it warms.

Unfortunately it hadn't dropped clear, but of a hoppy soup in the glass. Aroma was very piney , with citrus undertones. Taste was intensely bitter with resin and pine. Smoothed out into some nice caramel and cinder toffee. Good mouthfeel, solid.
