3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 beervana (781) - Libertyville, USA - JUN 8, 2006
(04.24.06) On tap at Brass Restaurant and Pub, Barrington, IL. Poured clear golden amber wih small white head. Soft carbonation. Faint sweet malt aroma. Light-to-medium lager with corn/nutty flavor. Finished with light malt fade. Very little hop presence. A decent drinkable lager that went well with food.

Clear and golden, little if any nose and flavor as well. Too light for my tastes.
2.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 gws57 (1231) - Saint Charles, Illinois, USA - JUN 4, 2006
Had this one on draught in South Barrington. Certainly not the worst light beer I’ve had, this one is clear with no nose, notes of canned corn and hops.
2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 RAYBOY01 (2005) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - SEP 5, 2005
Weak and thin and no beading carbonation. Pilsener? A decent hop bite in the finish, though.
1.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 8/20 StewardofGondor (1934) - Washington Heights - Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA - AUG 29, 2005
Clearest beer known to man - pale gold with no movement elsewhere. Aroma displays some herbs, lemon grass, pils musk and nothing enticing. Barely any carbonation. Flavor consistent with a syrupy lemon moth ball or a new form of mold on lemon-buttered biscuits. Add some corn husks to the mix and we’ve got a recipe for disaster. Bottom of the list.
2.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 7/20 frankenkitty (1958) - Oak Lawn, Illinois, USA - JUN 20, 2005
A darker-golden with a small white head. Some light bitterness in the taste, but I was thrown by diacetyls in both aroma and flavor. I didn’t want more than a sample.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 Cornfield (5277) - Oak Forest, Illinois, USA - JAN 18, 2005
UPDATED: JUL 18, 2005 The brewmeister at the restaurant told me that this was their most popular beer. Since the only two bottled beers that they offer are noted pisswaters (Amstel Light and Miller Light), this gives their clientele a near macro to imbibe. Actually, not bad, if a bit light on the flavoring. Nice, mildly sweet malts (enhanced, I was told by the addition of corn sugar) with a good counterbalance from saaz hops. Looks good in the glass and has a clean finish.
