Cask, Derby Winter Fest 10. Black with a beige foam. Aromas are lightly roasted with earthy notes and some chocolate. Flavours are thin malts with herbal and liquorice notes. A bit thin in character and slick on the palate.

UPDATED: APR 26, 2011 1. Cask Handpump at the Station Buffet, Stalybridge 27/11/2010 Roast aroma. Beige head. Dark red coloured a little rich on the palate an hoppy with a bubble gum flavour. Bitter and slightly smoked malt finish. 2. Cask Handpump at Ye Cracke, Liverpool 17/12/2010 (As Monkey Mild) Coffee roast aroma. Beige head. Dark coloured smooth on the palate and fruity with a slightly dry roast malt finish.

Cask, gravity dispensed, at the Kingston Arms, Cambridge. Pitch black with a thin loose tan head; aroma of roasted malts with a hint of smoke; sweet roasted malt flavour with a touch of milk chocolate; and a malty finish. A very sound mild.

Cask conditioned gravity dispense Merchants Inn Rugby. A black beer with a short lievd tan coloured head. The aroma has slight hints of coffee. Roasted malts in the mouth but the palate is pretty thin. A very mild mild.
