UPDATED: AUG 18, 2012 Bottle. Cloudy copper colour with small light brown creamy head. Beer is brewed from the 7 different types of cereals and this is very noticable in aroma and taste, I can also smell some aroma of citruses, hay, fruity aroma and some coriander. Taste is moderate bitter, aftertaste goes step higher in bitterness. Alcohol is present, but not annoying. It looks more like some Belgian beers to me.

750ml bottle. VEry griany throughout, lots of malt depth, some odd yeastiness and oxidation. Don’t ever see it in the US, a distro was pouring it at a beer fest so who knows the age. It wasn’t bad.

Bardzo smaczne piwo w stylu klasztornym z Bretonii. Mętnawo purpurowy kolor tego piwa ciekawi. Mocna piana bez ziarna. W smaku trochę cierpkie i zdecydowanie treściwe. Zapach intensywnie kwiatowo-różany

Bottle 750 ml
Aroma fresh hop feel, amber malt with Belgian yeast character. Hint of bubble gum, malts at end.
Appearance red hint on amber. Large floaties in liquid. Medium large white top.
Flavor and Palate : Spicy yeast side, nutty with soft palate. Cellar like feel. Nutty malty finish. Good.

Hazy brown beer, a little white head. Slightly sour malt nose. Softish palate. Creamy malt with subtle sour and spicy streaks. Repressed orange and mango. A semi dry soft finish with a bitter aftertaste. Not bad.

Brown 25cl bottle obtained in Calais on the way home from a Belgian and French beer buying expedition. Best before 18 March 2011, drank and reviewed on 2 Nov 2010. Poured carefully into my ’La Chouffe’ stemmed tulip. I somehow allowed a little amount of sediment into the glass, clouded the body though. The body was a dark amber and misty in appearance, very thin covering of bubbles and collar round the glass. The smell was of apples and oranges at first, spiced with mace and a honey like semi-sweet hint, strangely also giving it a sour feel too. The taste was also fruity with sour and semi-sweet notes, again honey came to mind. An interesting beer and one I’d gladly have again, the 7%ABV is noticeable but doesn’t intrude into the flavours greatly. Easy to drink and certainly worth trying if you ever get the chance.

Bottled 33cl. Courtesy of jaghana. Tall head. Fruity. Nice hoppy components in the taste. Medium to full bodied. Balanced and nice. Thanks a lot jaghana!
