Bouteille 33 cl du Tonneau Verre à Yverdon (CH).

Bottle. A hazy, ruby beer with a small, beige head. Very malty nose with a cheesy touch, umami, notes of sherry and cellar and some mould. Sweet, malty flavor with some sherry and alcohol, as well as some raisin. Warming, full-bodied mouthfeel. Quite buttery finish. A lovely, mature beer suited for an hour in front of the fireplace. Bottled (thanks Bov!). Hazy reddish brown colour, with mediumsized beige head, that disappears almost completely after a while. Aroma is fruit, yeast, slight earthyness, alcohol, caramel and wood. Flavour is fruits, slight alcohol, yeast, caramel. Also some slight metallic hints. Doesn’t ruin the beer though.
