Light golden straw color, white head. Malty nose, wort, light fruity yeast, hint of canned corn. Malty taste, wort, vegetables, grass, hint of solvent. Light body, average carbonation.

Bottle from Vinmonopolet’s BU. Clear, golden body, with a tiny, quickly disappearing, white head. Malt and corn nose. Malt, corn, metallic flavour. Light bitter ending. Quite thin body. Lively carbonation.

Lys brun klar med fingerhøyt hvitt skum. Lukter makt, honning og korn. Lett. Lite sødme, men noe honningtoner ligger der, middels kort bitterhet.

Never have i been more doubtful about buying a beer. For ticking off Monaco i’ve got a red bottle, ugly as hell. Well, here it goes. It pours quite pale with a thin white head. Smell of grain and cerial, dust and hints of corn, also some artifical fruity stuff. Light sweet, corn and grain, quite dry, and not much else. Light bitter, short hay finish. I’m not proud of rating this beer....

Sigmund (6646) - Tau, NORWAY - JUN 9, 2016
330 ml red bottle, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. ABV is 5%. My first beer ever from a red bottle, and also my first beer from Monaco, even though the bottled version is brewed in France by EMB 67202 (= Brasserie Météor) for Brasserie de Monaco. The bottled version is apparently filtered. Clear pale golden colour, moderate white head. Fairly strong aroma of grassy hops. Soft mouthfeel. Crisp pilsener flavour, medium dry, with fairly distinct bittering hops. A decent pilsener, no more, no less.

Red bottle from Vinmonopolet, Netstore. Pours clear golden with a big creamy white head. Aroma is grainy, with sweet corn and weak spicy hops. Taste is moderate sweet grainy, slick and sticky mouthfeel, too sweet and unbalanced for this fella.
