COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bellerose is a Top fermented beer made with 3 hops from 3 different continents by Brasseries Des Sources(Brewery of the Springs). A mix between French "bière de Garde" and IPA with distinctive aromas of citrus & litchi with a hoppy but refreshing aftertaste ! After less than one year of brewing, this beer have won three medals in prestigious beer Comeptition and was elected as the "Best Ale over 5% in the UK" at the International Beer Challenge of London 2011 !

Fast gone off-white head over hazy yellow beer. Sweet-perfumed, sweet-smelling, and a whiff of chlorine. Perfumed, sweet malts, almonds, frangipane. Ginger retronasal, yeasty. Medium bodied, quite slick, carbonation very present backthroat. Perfumed, but certainly not overdone. Txs, Stefaan!

Clear medium yellow orange colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, white to off-white head. Aroma is light to moderate malty, pale malt, light to moderate hoppy, fruity, moderate yeasty, fruity yeast. Flavour is moderate sweet and light to moderate bitter with a long duration, fruity, yeasty, dry. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20120201]

# 3051 ersma: die brauerei wurde 1997 u. a. von gérard depardieu gegründet. hat aber seitdem mehrmals den besitzer (und auch den namen) gewechselt. hat 2011 ne silbermedaille gekriegt vom landwirtschaftsministerium. nun weiß ich natürlich nicht, ob das was taugt oder bloß sowas wie ne dlg-prämierung ist. drei hopfen von drei kontinenten. lt. brauerei eine mischung aus bière de garde und ipa. kräftig golden, definitiv krügerrand und nicht maple leaf. mittelviel mittelstabiler schaum. der geruch ist dezent säuerlich mit aromen von apfel und kirsche. der antrunk ist süßlich mit herbem hintergrund. honigaroma mit leichter hefigkeit. zur mitte wird es etwas herber, ohne die süße grundnote zu verlieren. der abgang ist fruchtig, blumig mit deutlich herbem einschlag. dazu kräuterige töne, so richtung lavendel und kardamom. die 0.75-l-flasche zeigt ein dezent bekleidetes mädel in sw. die 6,5 volt sind extrem groß geschrieben, von aufmachung und schrifttypen soll das ganz klar amis ansprechen. fazit: von der garde-ipa-kreuzung merkt man nix. die drei hopfensorten wirken auch sonst unterrepräsentiert, hier erwartet man deutlich mehr. vor allem wenn groß damit geworben wird. gut trinkbar, mehr nicht. 9,9,9,11,11,9 9,40 28/4/12

Golden coloured, and hazy. Has a white head, mostly lasting. Nice hoppy aroma, herbal, grassy, real nice. Sweet flavor, faint flour, moderate bitter finish. Creamy, dry texture and soft carbonation.
