Rastacouere (5409), Montréal, Quebec, Canada Dec 3, 2007 Hazy, very effervescent golden ale mounted by a large, healthy white foam. Subtle smell proposes gentle tartish hay-like notes with fresh cream, soft herbs and mild hops. Not very forward. Sweetish, light and honeyed in mouth. Fresh vanilla undertones eventually emanante from the rear. Sour and dry finish with a burst of bubbles. Not much to make of this one. duff (5407), Sydney, Australia, Surrey, England Oct 26, 2007 Bottle@Chris_O’s. Initially very sugary and yeasty, quite sweet as well. There is noticable alcohol in the finish, and there are subtle notes of both citrus and apple fruit. Feels a bit raw, and a bit thin as well. SilkTork (3941), Rochester, Kent, England Oct 16, 2007 Aug 2007 chris_o shindig Yeasty, light saison style beer. Summery and drinkable. chris_o (4409), London, Greater London, England Sep 1, 2007 Bottle, at London Shindig. Gold, with a fluffy white head. Spicy, yeasty aroma. Rather herbal flavour with a slightly sweet finish. Pretty decent and drinkable. Not really a Biere de Garde, except in so far as every French beer seems to get lumped into that style.
