Bottle from Veux-tu une bière? -- Pours blonde/golden, clear. Thick, foamy white head. Aroma is mainly about cereals (not necessarily malts, though). Taste has hints of fruits and malts, but also some unpleasant metallic notes as well. Palate is a bit overly sweet for my tastes. Not that it’s uncharacteristic for the style, nor is it from that brewer, but that’s definitely something that kind of hinders the final product. Slightly bitter in the end; finale is pretty well done. All in all, really average, maybe a bit below average. Won’t drink again, but certainly not bad, though.

341ml bottle poured into a weizen glass around 6 degrees. Straw robe with a light haze holding massive carbonation letting me know the beer is pretty fresh. The eggshell head gets to about two fingers thick, has a frothy structure, shows pretty good retention and forms huge spotted lacing on the side of the glass. The nose is grainy with a touch of lemon zest and herbal elements from the Perle and Strisselspalt hops. The taste is pretty similar to what you got in the nose. Grains, lemon zest, a light breadiness. The hops come out strong with an intense grassy presence with a few floral notes. The beer is very dry and leaves the palate abruptly with no lingering aftertaste. A refreshing summer beer to pair with salads and fish. Cheers!

Carbonation moyenne. Faible amertume. Une Kolsch de base. Ce boit bien parcontre!

Pours an almost clear yellow. Aroma is grainy and malty with citrus notes. Taste is slightly fruity with more maltyness and grain but generally drier. Aftertaste is dry and quite short. Drinkable and quite similar to the Kolsch style.

341 ml bottle from Drummondville Metro. Pours a cloudy straw yellow colour with modest-sized white head. Aroma is cereal, lemon, crabapple and light grassiness. Flavour is cereals, juicy lemon, apple and a very subtle grassiness. Crisp finish. Not bad.

Bottle: Poured a golden color Kolsch with a medium size foamy head with light retention. Aroma consists of light buttery cereal malt with little else in terms of characteristics. Taste is also dominated by light buttery notes with some cereal notes. Body is about average with light oily texture with medium carbonation. This is not a style known for its complexity but this example is probably below average in terms of character.

Single from Marché Omni. Pours a light golden colour with a foamy white head that sticks around and gives out soapy lace. Aromas of cereal malts at first, but after breathing a little bit, becomes sweeter, with fruit notes and some light grassy hops. Plain wet mouthfeel. The taste is a little too light, with some mild sweetness and rusty water from the hop. Some fruitiness, but lacking the grain I am use to for a Kölsch. Or maybe the others are wrong. No matter what, this one quenches your thirst like the description says.
