2013 edition (10% ABV.) and comes in a small box to fit one 341ml bottle. Pours a dark brown colour with a foamy mocha cap that fizzes away slowly and leaves minimal lace. Roasted malt nose with dark fruit, caramel and hints of coffee. No burning, not even warming for the mouthfeel. Does not even feel like a light beer (as in alcohol content). Taste of burnt malts, candied fruits and some hop in the finish (which I do not feel balances things well). Still, not bad for such a strong beer that does not feel like it. Prefer their Ghosttown Stout and Black Watch Scottish Ale.

Aroma: Strong malty accents with candied fruits, caramel and also little notes of wood and oak. May be aged in wood barrels with whiskey or bourbon; tag does not say. However, very strong and complex nose with tiny roasted notes. Color is very dark brown or you might want to call it black. Average creamy head, long lasting but with no lacing. Doesn’t stick much to glass despite his high ABV. Attack is warm and snug with sweet caramel, barley sugar, candied fruits and molasses notes. Alcohol is well dosed and lifting up flavors. Medium to full body, oily texture, close to a malt liquor. Finish comes with tiny smoky notes that balances the sweetness. Une excellente bière; chaude et enveloppante.

Bottle - 341ml. Pours a dark brown body with average carbonation and a thin beige foamy/bubbly head. Good malty/hoppy aroma with grainy, woody, and sweet hints. Alcohol is well hidden. Its rich malty/hoppy taste carries vineous, molasses, woody, and some subtle anise notes. Ends with a decent, warming bittersweet finish. Good winterwarmer.

Bottle - 341ml. Dark brown body with average carbonation and a thin, lasting beige creamy/frothy head. Aroma carries strong plummy/vineous and brown sugar notes. Alcohol is also noticeable. Taste is a way too sweet. It also carries woody and molasses notes. Ends with a strong, sweet, warming finish. Misbalanced product.

Bouteille 341 ml. 10%.

341 ml bottle. Pours an orangeish, almost completely opaque brown with a beige white head. Tastes like caramel, molasses, chocolate, wood and fruits. Finish is awesomely boozy, reminiscent of good old Kentucky bourbon. Very thick bodied, taste remains in mouth. A very, very strong beer, which I loved from the first sip to the last.
