COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

Bottle@Home. Sweet citrus, light herbal. Golden color, off-white head, good lace. Sweet, pretty bitter, citrus, hint of cookie dough, herbal finish. Bit thinnish, cloying.

Small white head. Hazy brown body with carbonation. Sugary wort and honey aroma with fruity plastic notes. Sweet-dryish honey and flour taste with resiny peppery notes. Mid-bodied. Sharpish, grainy mouthfeel. Dry resiny honeyish mealy aftertaste with peppery floral notes. (0.33l bottle, CitySuper IFC, Central, Hong Kong.)

Year over time. Orange coloured beer, head should hold a bit longer. Yeasty, conffituur, fruits. Lightly malts and light spiced. Not totally outbalanced. Sweet fruits, dryness. Thanks to Hans for sharing.

Fluffy amberish head over foxy-orange to copper beer, clear. Citrus, orange nose, completely at odds with the sweet-malty, unassumingly sugary taste. However, the finish has some orangepeel, at least. Clammy MF, syrupy, and warming up, the aftertaste gets Mandarine Napoléon streaks. Not very special, too much restsugars. Txs to Stefaan!

Quack-Duck (5921) - Down South, GERMANY - MAY 17, 2009
bottle from Village de la Bière Strasbourg. Amber colour, mid-sized fluffy head. Malty nose. Intensively malty, sweet, hints of caramel and toffee with a rather unpleasant bitter finish. The bitteness lacks a nice hoppy character, othewise quite a nice brew as the malt flavours are very nice.

courtesy of Laurent Mousson; labelled Loroyse d’Hiver - pours a clear amber colour with a poor head retention; aroma of butter and apple, sugary; medium-bodied, effervescent, quite short buttery finish with notes of alcohol

Bottle, 8%. Rough and rotten aroma, rough hops and rotten vegetables. Clear amber colour. Very small white head. The flavour is fruity and quite peppery. There is some baking yeast in the middle and finish. The finish is also peppery and with a fat sweet note as in Stroh Rum. At least it tastes better than it smells.

Bart (2509) - Brussels, BELGIUM - NOV 29, 2008
Amber coloured beer with very little carbonation and a small off-white head. Special sweet malty aroma with some light caramel and madeira touches. Medium to full palate. Finish is sweet bitter, wharming strong alcoholic malty hints with a longer bitter sweet ending. A rather strange and special tripel.

Bottle. Hazy golden colour with a little white head. Aroma of malt and hints of caramel. Malty sweet flavour nearly like a bock, ends up little bitter and dry.
