Hazy amber color, mostly vanishing head. Aroma of berries, strawberry, honey ... Light to medium-bodied. Suprisingly watery for 6%. Berryish, pale malty, low bitterness. Simple BdG. Feels even a bit aged but BB is 06/2016.

Bue en bouteille de 33cl chez Laurence. Couleur Blonde, mousse quasi inexistante tout comme l’effervescence. Pas de nez. En bouche attaque caramel, mal et citronné, elle se boit bien mais c’est tout !

Sinterklaas beer! ;-) Classically styled Tripel like Belgian ale, fruity yeast, cereal, hay, biscuit. Very lightly hopped. Bit rough despite the filtered appearance. Not very modern but not unpleasant. I enjoyed it. (33cl bottle from Saveur Bière)

Bottle 33cl. Hazy to cloudy deep amber color, small frothy beige head, recedes after a while, thin layer remains, fair lacing; sweet malt nose, caramel, biscuit, dough, fruity notes, light citrus; taste medium sweet and bitter, malty, fruity; medium body, oily to creamy texture, soft carbonation, aftertaste smooth bittersweet, herbal notes, bit alcoholic; very well-balanced and tasty.

GoufCustom (1111) - HONG KONG - JAN 15, 2015

330 ml bottle as part of the brewery’s limited edition assorted 8-pack bought at Tecstar’s booth at HKCEC in Wan Chai during The 12th Hong Kong Food Festival.

Translucent amber colour with faint trace of dusty yeast particles; Near zero head and residual soay white foam which fades in 5 seconds; Minimal sticky lacing and barely notable carbonation; Sweet aroma of malt, with strong caramel, toffee, canned pineapples, dark fruits, sugar, light spices, bread, light yeast, light lemon and grass; Medium sweet taste of light malt, with cookies, plums, dark fruits, strong caramel, strong molasses, moderate alcohol, dry bread, yeast, strong lime and quite strong bitter grassy hops; Mid to light body. Slick and quick thick palate; Mouth feel is pretty solid Amber Ale maltyness in a rather thick body. Strong caramel to starts followed by tasty cookies and dark fruits. Strong molasses sweetness with notable boozy taste. Yeast is a tad light. Hoppy round up. Not bad… Hoppiness is lemon and grass in nose. Strong lime and fairly grassy hops in taste. Bitterness is quite strong for an abrupt astringent sweet-bitter finish; Fairly dry after taste. Thick and strong sweet-bitter to mouth.

Comments: This is my second bottle of Lorraine beers that suffers a lack of carbo. There’s virtually no head but the carmel fruity aroma and thick cookie boozy taste keep me interested. If a lively carbo is here, this one will hit the jackpot. Oh well, quite enjoyable still.

Bottled (backlog). Deep ambery brown colour, with a tiny slightly off-white head. Aroma is wood, some resin, mild caramel, quite sweet malts and some slight alcoholic sweetness. Flavour is cookies, some bitterness, mild yeast and spices as well as some wooden notes. In a way a bit thin, but still the alcohol does show through.

33cl bb12/2014, courtesy of jaghana, merci. Yeast-hazy dark amber, nose of old speculoos, spicy yeastiness, oregano spaghetti sauce somehow as well. Taste is drier and much hoppier than the aroma would lead to expect and quite enjoyable, with a lingering earthy finish. Ambrée nose, bière de garde taste.

Bottled, thanks to LeoR. Dark golden colored, very small dying head. Somewhat spicy nose, some hops. Malty flavor, quite watery, some alcohol. Very much middle of the road, not really impressive.
