pours a hazy golden with a decent white head, retention and lacing is ok. wheat and masala spices without cinnamon. tart tropical fruits in the nose. taste is cereals, mainly wheat, soft wheat, still with a dry finish. light but very pleasant citrusy hopping. bubbly without being aggressive. quenching and good take on the weizen. would have again, maybe on tap?

Bottle 341ml, June 20th 2011.
Hazy pale color with little white head that didn’t stay long. Citrus and spices aroma on nose and the spicy tastes are sharp on tongue. Slight banana flavor finish. Good beer for the months to come, refleshing and tasty !

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20

My Bottom Line:
Cakey spices abound in this creative take on a Weizen, as clovey phenolics met cardamom and lush wheat.
Further Personal Perceptions:
-A sheet of foam covers the cloudy white.
-Eggy, sulphury angles were found in the nose, but never were bothersome.
-Flavor profile is a tad sweeter than your average Weizen. Better attenuation (and quieter spices) might make this more drinkable.
-This is quite powerful in the flavor department for a "Blanche". I’d like to know how the typical lover of the style/colour reacts after trying it.
-Carbonation is fierce, helping the spices in appearing restrained in the flavor profile. They are quite prominent in the aroma though. Perhaps too much so?
-I’m looking forward to trying this from a bottle. Might even express itself better.
On tap at the Mondial.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Very pale hazy straw color with an average frothy white head with above average retention. Aroma is mostly spices, coriander, cardamom, ginger and cloves with some bread and lemon. Flavor is ginger, cardamom, coriander, cloves, bready notes and moderate banana esters and moderate sourness. Medium body with fizzy carbonation. Very refreshing, but it could be improved by turning the spices down a notch.

Bonne odeur fraiche de coriandre, généreuse mousse et belle dentelle. Très peu d’arrière-goût acre. Bon goût frais et doux de la coriandre entre autres.

3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Yello clowdy with low foam that persists. Aroma of ginger, cardamone, citrus and wheat. Intense taste of cardamone, with a bit of pepper and nutmeg, citrusy side that persist in the mouth, Slight banana in the finish. Intense beer we are looking in the beer for the weizen that is inscribed on the bottle, but really a nice tastefull yet refreshing beer.
