COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

Purchased in their mixed 12-pack (Gamme sympathique 12 Mixte). Pours a slightly hazy golden-blonde colour with a foamy head that dissipates at a medium rate and a few waves of lace are left. The nose is kind of different, feeling more like a spicy Belgian witbier than a blonde ale (or Pilsner as they refer to it). Almost peppery, with the citrus and corriander notes and some hop. Slightly oily mouthfeel. The taste is a mix of cereal malts at first being overpowered by grass (and mild fish that comes up - gross) to then, be better balanced with a nice bitterness into the aftertaste. Overall, just a bit too much all over the place. Seems confused between too many styles this one wants to be.

---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

341 ml bottle. Pours a slightly hazy straw with a thin, yet very long-lasting white head. Smell is grains. Taste is corn syrup, a touch of malt, cereals, maybe some lemon? Finish is subtle herbal hops, not very spectacular. Medium body. Very strong carbonation, bordering on aggressive. Very ordinary, commercial-style beer.

A beer for the masses. Pale malts, unoffensive, almost boring hops. Light grains, next to no bitterness. Ummm, refreshing i guess. Pretty boring. It’s just beer.

UPDATED: APR 19, 2012 Bottle 341ml. Pours chrystal clear blond, with very low white head. Aroma is of malt, slightly sweet. Taste is of sweet malt, slightly bitter end. Crisp. Very refreshing. But it is what it is, poor. Edit: The second half of the bottle turned out to be hazy. Surprising.

Bottle. Slightly hazy with soft white head. Aroma is more sour Saison than crisp peppery pilsener. Some peppery hops and a buttery flavour in the taste. With a couple of tweaks this might be a pretty good beer.

(Rating #4120)

A blonde pils with a thick frothy creamy white head. In aroma, light mineral malt with German hopping, very classic. In mouth, a smooth crisp malt with nice German hops, grassy, lightly resinous, very decent. On tap at Brouhaha, Dec. 16 2011.
