(Rating #4349)

In short: A sugary-sweet fruity dark amber Double IPA.
How: Tap at the brewery tasting room
The look: Mostly cloudy amber-copper body topped by a medium white head with good retention
In long: Nose of fruity hops and other fruity esters, I noted typical citrus fruits but also quite a bit of red berries. Taste has a lot of sweet malts, sweet red berries jam, residual sugars, dusty carpet, tasty fruity bitterness, resinous notes, a strong yeast presence. Too much sugars in the after-taste for me. Alcohol a bit apparent. Nothing offensive here, but a very much below average example of the style. It was my first visit at the brewery tasting room and I didn’t like the place nor the beer, but I kept my comments to myself because we all know “don’t fuck with people who live in Saint-Hyacinthe”, these people have nothing to lose.

On tap at Les Brasseurs du Monde. Hazy dark orange with long lasting off-white head and some lacing. Aroma of tropical fruits, malt and hops. Taste of tropical fruits, herbal and malt with a slight acidic presence. Mouthfeel is dry and acidic. Good DIPA that need to be a little more polished.
