Tap at mondial 2011. Copper color and adequate carbonation. Very resinous hopping that lacks sharpness and crispyness. Caramelish sweet malty notes. Decent IPA but suffered from the comparaison with the Ballast Sculpin IPA I had just prior to it; this was no Cana’s wedding story!

Bottle 341 ml. Pours copper with a small white head. Nose of citrus. Taste of citrus with a medium bitterness. Mouthfeel is creamy but leaves palate dry. Refreshing IPA but will not become a regular for me.

Pours a nice copper. Little beige head and some lacing. Aroma: sweet, citrus. Taste is good, with a bitter finish. Creamy texture. Nothing outstanding here, but a good beer nevertheless. Robe cuivrée. Collet beige et un peu de lacing. Arome: sucré et agrumes. Le goût est bon, finale amère. Texture crémeuse. Rien de spécial ici, mais une bonne bière malgré tout.

Purchased a mixed 12-pack of "Les Connaisseurs" beers from this brewery. Watch out for the overflow. Pours a clean dark amber colour with a warm cap that is creamy-frothy, creating a foamy lace after staying quite a long time. Caramel aromas with some notes of hop (mild pine). Medium-bodied mouthfeel. Malty taste with the nice bitterness getting a bit stronger in the finish, and a beautiful dryness lingers, quite a while. Hints of butterscotch also appears in the background. A decent IPA that has more hop bite in the mouth than in the nose.

Thanks to Jerc & Mabel. Appearance: Ruby red, small snow white head. Aroma: Sweet, quite floral, spicy, citrus peel. Flavour: Tangy, a little cardboard, spicy, lemon rind. Quite a good amount of alcohol detected, long hoppy finish.

Bronze pour, with a small off white head. Aromas of dark matls, caramel, wood, and bitter grass. Flavor is quite bitter, and a little off putting. Grassy bitter finish with some light pine.

Bottle. Golden copper with lasting foam. Aroma of woody and citrus hops with a hinty of thick malt. Hop forward with a strong malt characteristic that comes up in the middle and then slowly fades through the finish leave a herbal medicinal hop aftertaste. A nice pub IPA.

Pours copper, thin foam persistant. Aroma: floral hop. Taste hops. Didn’t find much more. Long finish. Body light thin, soft carbonation. Long bitter finish. Not an exceptionnal beer, but will be good and refershing in summer on th side of the pool.

I believe this is hopped fo the QC market. Quite a fine taste - wish the body was a bit fuller.

Bottle. Brown-amber pour with decent off white head and simili lacing. Interesting earthy, nutty, slighlty torrefied aroma, very aromatic hops. Not quite your spot-on hop profile but a nice attempt from a Quebec brewery. Flavor is dominated by hops, earthy and very hops with a torrefied malt twist. Unfortunately the carbonation is low, you better drink one really quick. Very decent IPA, one of the few Quebec bottled IPAs that matchs the American intensity, but unfortunately lacks refinement.
