Beer and tea. Consumption of those two beverages dates back to Antiquity. It is with great pleasure that we present a happy mixture of those two drinks, where tea, whici gives off such a pleasant aroma, is the main flavoring herb: L’Infusée, a three-tea white beer. Our Infusée always includes green tea for its powerful antioxydant properties. Consult the web page for this beer to find out wich teas were used in its current recipe.

341 ml bottle. Pours a very sediment-filled whitish yellow with a long-lasting white head. Smell is green tea, mint, lemony herb tea. Taste is wheat, herb tea, mint, green tea, lemon. Finish is slightly herbal, with lemon notes. Well balanced. Some menthol in there, too. Medium to strong body, smooth mouthfeel. A very special experience, I was coming in with low expectations and was quite pleasantly surprised. More of a Summer than a November ale, because it was such a thirst quencher, it did do the job quite well on a cold evening. Needs to be tried again when it gets hot, around here.

Murky orange pour, with a medium white head. Aroma is big on tropical fruit, mangoes, peaches, some apples and some fruity green, and white teas. Good mouth feel, solid carb. The finish is sweet and fruity with big tea, and herbal flavours. Light bitterness and some slightly astringent pithy citrus fruit.

Aroma! Wow! Off the top, lots of ginger but then it opens up to a wild mix of cinnamon, raspberry, peach and grapes. Average creamy, white head. Mostly diminishing with good lacing over a hazy light amber body. Lightly bitter , moderately sweet taste of a fruity herbal tea. Light watery body with fizzy carbonation. This is going to be great on a hot summer afternoon. Cheers!

500ml Bottle from Peluso. Aroma: orange, herbs, some fruits like raspberry. App: hazy pale with small white head not lasting. Taste and Palate: thin body, fizzy carbonation, light-medium acidity finish. Overall: A refreshing beer to have around the pool. It feels like I’m drinking a raspberry/herb soday. I did enjoy the acidity finish but aside from that... not my cup of tea ;).

The current craze at Brassuers du Monde is Infuse. This 5.4%beer has a white ale/weizen base and is then infused with three tea varieties. It was designed as a summer beer aimed at ladies but was so well received it is now a year-round beer. Wow, what a wild nose - fruity flowery tea, the taste is incredibly fruity peach, cherry, raspberry. Delicious. It walks the fine line between beer and fruity soda. Ridiculously refreshing.

Avec toutes les critiques francaises, je pensais bien que je devrais n’en faire une en anglais pour nos amis en Ontario. So, dis beer look hand taste like ha cold cup hove tea. Sorry couldn’t resist. Seriously though this couldn’t be much more tea-like, and less beer-like, if it tried. That being said it’s oddly pleasant. It looks like a glass of metamucil, and it smells kiiiiiind of like Pepto Bismol (this weird quasi-bubblegum/cream soda/candy smell), but it also has a lot of neat things going on in terms of nose and taste. Tons of fruit, spice, vanilla, the aforementioned Pepto. I get lots of taste from the rooibos, and an almost chai taste in the background, so each sip is its own miniature voyage of discovery. That being said, the malt (more or less intentionally) tastes like club soda, and while it has some nice fizzy carbonation, it also tastes sort of half flat. All in all this is a once in a blue moon diversion beer, but one I’m glad I tried.
