(Rating #4587)

on tap at brewpub. clear golden orange with a decent off-white head, some retention and lacing. biscuity, toasted and lightly peated malts, english light but assertive hopping, grassy-herbalness, citrus. never bacon-ey. average carbonation, light body - slightly watery, spicy-grassy-lightly smoked finish. nice offering!

A hazed copper amber ale with a thin lacing mocha head. In aroma, a nice caramel malt with light floral hops and light peaty-scotch notes. In mouth, a nice peaty malt with light bacon and good biscuit malt, treacle, herbal hops, well done. On tap at St-Graal, Nov. 25 2012.

On tap at brewpub. Pours a clear pale orange amber with a nice white head. Smell is smoke, maple wood. Taste is caramel, touch of wood, smoke, and a touch of maple, which is surprising. Finish is dry, smokey, salty, meaty (umami?), some spicy hops in there, too. Maybe a touch of wood...Average body, some very light, yet detectable viscosity. Very good, I thoroughly enjoyed this one.
