COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

Some store: bottle poured into plastic cup. Pours bubbly golden with a white head. Aroma is peppery, slightly funky, and quite fruity. Taste is similar: spicy, a bit sweet, and dry. This was a pretty run of the mill saison to my mind. Good.

Aucune amertume. Fiche technique Style: Saison Format: 500 ml Taux d?alcool: 5,2% Température: 9°C

500 mL bottle. Pours protein hazed, a honey tone with a frothy white head that lingers and laces. Yeast driven barnyard, spice, banana, pear and bubble gum notes, some moderate grainy sweetness and Old World hopping. Mildly sweet crystal malt juxtaposes the dryness. Finishes bitter. Creamy texture augmented with full carbonation. Moderate body and a lasting bitter finale that coats the palate.

Pours a lightly hazy golden with a thin white head that leaves good lacing. Aroma is of sweet cereals and fruits, lightly peppery. Taste is lightly tart and generally dry, fruity. Flavors of fresh wheat, pepper and yellow fruits. Body is light to medium, carbonation moderate. All in all a nice saison, I didn’t expect as much!

Fruity aroma, lemon, pears and some light clove phenolics, no noticeable hops. Cloudy golden color with an off white head. Mild clove phenolics in the flavor, lemon like citrus flavor comes through. Slight oxidized note in the background. Some light funk. Medium body, low carbonation. Overall it has all the tight characteristics but the carbonation leaves it a little too sweet and heavy.

Single from a local IGA. Pours a cloudy golden-amber with a frothy off-white head, good retention and lots of foamy lace. Aromas of Belgian Ale yeast with some spices (cloves, coriander) with some rye notes. Also hints of sweet sugars and apples. The taste is a little unbalanced though. A little malty, a little sour, a little sweet, a little grass and some light alcohol. Too bad it is all over the place, as this could be a good one.

500ml bottle. Pours clear dark amber with a small beige head. Aroma is fruity, cloves, pepper and lemon. Taste is sweet caramel, dough and pepper. Medium body, warm and sour finish. Not my style of saison, I guess it’s a broad category.
