kev26 (23), Canada Apr 5, 2008 Bière noir au goût ordinaire a mon avis, plus ou moins une bonne expérience
robinvboyer (980), Sturgeon Falls, Ontario, Canada Jun 12, 2008 very nice black pour, with some auburn highligths, and a good creamy beige head. Aroma is very roasty, lots of chocolate, brojown sugar, and brownies. Wow, the aroma is so nice. The flavour is so nice, lots of subtle bitterness, and a great malty, smokey, roasty chocolate flavours. Its like bitter brownies, with some smoke, and roasted malt, wow, this is an excellent stout, i’m really enjoying this! mabel (1583), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Jun 12, 2008 [1214-20080320] 341mL bottle. Dark coffee roast aroma hints at sweet dates. Dark black brown body with a quick foamy brown head. Coffee grains and bitter roast characteristics are amplified in the flavour. Full body. Coffee fans take note, this could be quite nice.
(w/ jerc) hopscotch (4433), Vero Beach, Florida, USA Jun 2, 2008 Bottle… Pours pitch black with a small, creamy, mushroom-colored head. Decent retention. The aroma is a lovely combination of toasted nuts, milk chocolate and coffee. Medium to full-bodied and creamy with tingly carbonation. Leans on the sweet side of balance, but not overly so. Lots more chocolate and freshly ground coffee on the palate. Simple and straight-forward; an extremely solid little stout. A bit underappreciated, I think. A very nice offering provided by glouglouburp! jjpm74 (2878), Connecticut, USA Apr 18, 2008 Bottle courtesy of hogtownharry. Pours dark brown with a thin tan head. Smells of coffee, lemons, tea. Tastes earthy and sweet with some spice on the finish.
