Brown bottle, 341 ml, savoured on October 17; eye: red with a brown hue, clear, slight effervescence, nice beige head that turns into a carpet, good lacing; nose: "old", malt, basement, a bit of roasting; mouth: surprisingly thin, caramelized malt, a bit of roasting, basement, a hint of hops, finale is a bit short in roasting with the carbonation that dances on the tip of the tongue, quite carbonated, lightly sweet and bitter, medium body; overall: fine FRANÇAIS Bouteille brune, 341 ml, savourée le 17 octobre 2007; œil : bourgogne, claire, très légère effervescence, belle mousse beige qui se transforme en un petit tapis, bonne dentelle; nez : « vieille », malt, cave, torréfaction; bouche : curieusement mince, malt caramélisé, un peu de torréfaction, cave, petite touche de houblon, finale un peu courte en torréfaction avec la carbonatation qui titille le bout de la langue, très carbonatée, légèrement sucrée et amère, corps moyen; en résumé : bien

12oz bottle. Bought in Montreal, potentially old. Still has a nice creamy nutty vanilla mouthfeel, with a mellow spice finish. Quite a multi-faceted beer, Smells and tastes raisiny, pungent, and sweet.

EtownEraser (63) - New Jersey, USA - SEP 25, 2007
Bottle secured during a trip to Montreal. Nice copper color with a long lasting light brown head. Aroma is yeastie with a hint of nuts and malt. Taste is very thin, watered down. Like many others that I picked up in Quebec..nearly a drain pour

Mart (211) - Montréal, Quebec, CANADA - JUN 8, 2007
Bouteille.

Separatix (16) - CANADA - MAY 19, 2007
Très appétissante bière rousse. mousse un peu faible. Arômes de caramel et noix. En bouche, des saveurs douces de caramel et de noisettes. Petite amertume très fidèle au genre. La meilleure brown ale au Québec.

Diogène (1145) - Mirabel, Quebec, CANADA - MAY 13, 2007
Clear and dark copper with a huge foamy beige head. Aroma is nuts, roasted malt, caramel and vanilla. Flavour is similar to the aroma with some bitterness and a creamy mouthfeel.

mannika (140) - Boston, Massachusetts, USA - FEB 23, 2007
341 mL bottle, pours a deep copper with moderately frothy head. Aroma is nutty with a tinge of toffee. There is a weak, bitter taste that is a bit overpowered by the carbonation.

beerbuzzmontreal (3487) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - JAN 29, 2007
Pours a cloudy brown color with a thick, frothy offwhite head. Aroma of nuts and vanilla. Interesting flavor of nuts, vanilla and toffee on a light to medium, creamy body, the carbonation is medium. This is quite interesting for a brown ale.

Snoro (306) - Montréal, Quebec, CANADA - JAN 10, 2007
Une belle robe et dentelle, une odeur forte. Une première gorgée très marquée, un goût qui demeure longtemps en bouche sans être acre.

   AROMA 6/10   APPEARANCE 4/5   TASTE 6/10   PALATE 3/5   OVERALL 11/20
probstblueribbon (3726) - Nepean, Ontario, CANADA - DEC 26, 2006
