Good malty aroma, golden, small white head. Taste has some nice malt, hops are there to. Light bodied, balanced, sweet, slight bitterness. Average.

Bottle (341ml). Via trade with Viper666. Clear slightly bubbly pale gold with a minimal diminishing white head even after a vigorous pour. Slightly fruity and papery grain aroma, oily and bitter - yes, there really might actually be some rye in there - corn too! The taste is like dry straw - what taste there is - maybe a hint of stale popcorn ... not much bitterness at all. Light body, a little chewy and vaguely astringent - again, the influence of the supposed rye - but lightning quick in the finish, only somewhat carbonated - at least I don’t get much aftertaste. Boring, light, the "rye" seems to hide the adjuncts reasonably well.

Bottle. Pours a clear effervescent gold body with a small white head. Aroma consists of some sweet brash grains and apples. Sweet and herbal with some grassy hop notes. Finishes without incident.

Appearance :Crystal clear gold with bight yet small top 2+
Nose : Aromatic, fruity, citric hop touch with good crisp pale malts
Flavour/Palate : Thin bodied, watery texture. Sweet, crisp and refreshing. Straw clean malt with citric hops on top. Decent light golden brew with some character of traditional Kolsch.

UPDATED: NOV 28, 2007 Clear blonde body with a medium white head. Good lacings. Lots of fresh chewy cereals give the body a wet bread flavour/mouthfeel. Supposedly brewed with rye although I didn’t notice rye character in the flavour. As the beer warms the dry herbal hops get more and more present and eventually perfectly balance the cereals. The carbonation was rather soft, maybe a bit too much so for the intended purpose of the beer. Very well brewed beer that is obviously meant to be the entry beer for those who walk in the pub and ask for a Bud. If anything this is one of the best entry level beer out there but unfortunately not interesting enough for me. Bares the name of their very cute and cool pub/tasting room. The Public House is a lot more enjoyable than the Public House.

My Bottom Line:
Fresh cereal permeates this crisp blond ale drying out right after having built a chewy, quenching body. This is a good pint to introduce your dark color-weary friends to craft beer.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-A ring of foam circles the clear golden gown.
-The base maltiness returns in the aftertaste, to the pleasure of all tastebuds.
-A little caramel is whipped up by the omnipresent cereal.
-The 2-row, wheat, and rye combine seamlessly, and rather straightforwardly.

On tap at the brewpub.

Clear blonde pour with a medium, creamy, white head that leaves nice lacing on the glass. Good aroma of rye and yeast. Good flavor of chewy malt, rye, spices and yeast. The body is medium with a creamy texture and gentle carbonation.
