De la série alphabétique, voici une bière aussi locale que le joual et les expressions du terroir qui le compose. D’ailleurs, en la dégustant, vous aurez tendance à lâcher quelques "osti*! C’est bon en tabarnar*** c’t’affaire-là!"

pours unclear dark golden with a small creamy white cap, reviving and leaving nice lacing. doughy sweet grains, honey and candi; belgian spices - mint too, peppery booze, ginger, white grapes and golden raisins, light oxidized grassy notes, yeast. bright and soft carbonation, medium to full body - oily; sweet, boozy and grassy-spicy finish. boozy and sweet as usual from BI yet surprisingly decent.

(Rating #5568)

Bottle: Poured a deep golden color ale with a nice foamy head with good retention and light lacing. Aroma of sweet malt notes with light fruity ester. Taste is also dominated by some sweet cereal notes with light fruity ester and some residual sugars notes. Body is about average with good carbonation and somewhat of an oily texture. Not sure what the brewer was targeting for with this beer.

Bottle shared. Deep hazy amber pour with white head. Aroma is malty fruity oxidized notes, fruity grape aroma. Taste is uber sweet, fruity, grape juice, light toasted notes, boozy finish. Palate is full bodied with good carbonation. Bleh.

Clear, dark amber pour with a small white head. Aroma is caramel malts, slightly sweet, and a boozy vegetal sweetness, with slightly pungent herbacious, grassy, floral hops. The body and mouth feel are normal, with a slightly underwhelming carb. The finish is again sweet and boozy. Just a boozy amber ale, pretty boring.

Bottle - 750ml. Nice hazy golden body with an average white foamy/creamy head. Surprisingly thin malty/hoppy aroma with honeyish and grainy hints. Taste is slightly misbalanced. It carries rotten herbs notes and is a bit oversweetened. Ends with a decent, moderately warming bittersweet finish. Disappointing. N’importe quoi.

750 mL bottle from Broue Ha Ha served cold in a tulip glass. Clear deep amber with s fair off-white head. Fruity, light citrus, a little pine and resin, light esters (odd), a little toffee and caramel. Medium+ body with relaxed effervescence. Sweet, boozy, caramel and toffee, slightly woodsy, not much hop character; lightly sweet with sine bitterness and a boozy, caramel and toffee finish. Not great.

Pours a clear golden with a medium white head that leaves nice lacing. Nose is barleywine-ish and centered around caramel variations. Some peppery alcohol. Taste is lightly sweet and while there are flavors of caramel, toffee and fruits I get a feeling that it is not tasty enough for such a big beer. Feels oxidized too, that might explain the dull flavors. A little hot alcohol. Body is medium, carbonation moderate and mouthfeel is again a bit weak (not liquorous enough) but this bottle might just be too old. Past its prime for sure...

Pours clear copper with a small off white head. Aroma is slightly metallic and earthy malts and hop. Taste is again a little metallic, bready malt and a small hop bitterness. Not sure what this is but it could be done better.
