A deep dark porter with a thin brown head. In aroma, sweet fruity chocolate malt with light coffee notes, resinous hops, light treacle and Barley candy, light soy notes, nice. In mouth, a nice sweet fruity chocolate malt with coffee mocha, sweet milk, Nestlé quick, alcohol warmth, very nice and solid after 2 years.

Bottle that I took to Andy’s New Year’s Par-tay! Pours a hazed brown with a thin white head. Big roast on the nose, cocoa and toast. Medium bodied, cocoa, roast, chocolate. Roast into the finish. Really nice. Much better than expected.

pours dark brown without a small beige head, little retention. strong coffee notes. roasted malt, almost burnt, but lacks in overall malt structure. light acidity and bitter coffee awkwardness. booze helps a bit here to level up flavours. still... lactose-like feeling. average carbonation, light body - oily, coffee and grass finish. nice effort but... meh.

(Rating #4663)

Bottle: Poured a clear dark porter with a small bubbly head with limited retention and not much lacing. Aroma of dry floral coffee notes is dominant with weird unrefined grain notes. Taste is a mix between some dry floral coffee notes which are quiet nice but the malt backbone is off with some unrefined cereal notes with some herbal roasted notes. Body is a bit light with cola like carbonation which doesn’t really work well. Good intention but not a beer I would seek on a regular basis.

Bottle (341 ml). Dark brown, small beige head and no lacing. Aroma of coffee and hazelnut. Taste of coffee and hazelnut. Slight acidic presence. Thin body. If I want to drink cold coffee, I can buy cold coffee...

Eructoblaster (3806) - Gatineau, Quebec, CANADA - NOV 21, 2012
Bottle - 341ml. Opaque black body with low carbonation and a thin beige bubbly head. Strong, complex malty/hoppy aroma with grainy, roasty, and chocolate hints. Its well balanced taste carries plummy and coffeeish notes. Ends with a decent bitter/roasty finish. Good stuff for a good cause!

341 ml bottle from Broue Ha Ha, served cool in a tulip glass.

App.: Deep brown with a modest yellowish-light mocha head. Aroma: Rich coffee with some dark and milk chocolate accompaniment, a touch of green pepper and wet ash, a little toffee/treacle, pretty nice. Palate: Medium+ body, slightly relaxed effervescence. Flav.: A good hit of nice coffee notes, supported nicely by dark-roasted malts, dark chocolate, treacle and maybe a touch of molasses, slightly green, a touch of cardboard, pretty good for a coffee beer; dry with some bitterness and a fairly long, heavy coffee and dark-roasted malt finish.

How many must I drink before the moustache appears?
