341 ml bottle. Pours a foggy brown with a pale beige head. Smells somewhat sweet. Mostly tastes of caramel and cereals. Has a subtle maple taste in its finish, accompanied by quiet bitterness. Leaves a light, lingering maple water taste. Light bodied. Unfortunately, it feels overly carbonated, which kind of kills the sweet maple taste.

bottle from grand duc A: dark caramel, roastiness, just a slight hint of mapple. App: Dark ruby close to clear brown no head. T/P: body is full with moderate sweet finish. Carbonation is soft. O: Fair. You don’t get much maple the beer itself doesn’t show any big flaws there’s no wow that’s it.

Bouteille 341ml.

Bottle. Brown pour, some head. Aroma of cheap fermentation, home-made wine and other rotting things. Some maple is detectable, but it isn’t very pronounced. Taste is sweet and pretty boring. Good enough able to finish my glass, but bad enough that was I was happy when I knew I would never be drinking another sip of this again.

341 ml bottle purchased at Peluso (Montreal), on April 21, 2011. Honey brown, small head. Dominant sweet maple aroma, notes of barley. Taste of malted barley and maple, slightly spicy, slightly bitter. Finally, a maple beer that tastes like maple!
