Pours a dark brown body with average carbonation and a thin off-white foamy/bubbly head. Aroma is dominated by sweetness and carries hoppy and woody hints. Well balanced malty/hoppy taste with maple and plummy notes. Ends with a decent bittersweet, moderately warming finish. Good work.

Bouteille 341 ml. 6.9%. Couleur: cuivre-rougeâtre, mousse beige. Arômes: Érable, caramel, malt grillé. Douce en bouche, l’érable est substile. Note de malt grillé et de houblon.

The second maple beer I have reviewed and this is certainly much better than La Coulée from Multi-Brasses. Maple syrup is a flavouring in beer that will probably not result in good beer from a lot of brewers but if blended and balanced properly could have a lot of potential. I don’t think they have quite got it right in this beer, it is not a classic by any means, but they are on the right track and it is a drinkable and enjoyable beer. The taste is of a dark malt with a bit of maple sweetness. The strong malt taste balances the sweetness so it is not overpowering. While not a fantastic beer it is nevertheless one of the best sweet beers I have tried.
