COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Formerly known as Projet Américain.

Bottle 341 ml. Bought at Peluso (Montreal). Pours clear golden with tiny white head. Aroma: earth hops, pineapple, malt. Taste is malty with strong bitter finish. Balance is so-so. Thin beer. I expected more from this beer, since I have read so much great reviews on this brewer.

Can. Pours a clear gold body with a minimal fizzy off-white head that faded to a wispy film. The nose is much better than their Blonde Ale, there’s actually a touch of hops in there. Still smells a big sweet and grainy, but at least it’s some approximation of an APA here. The flavor is still not so good though, a heavy metallic note and more sweetness than desired for the style at its base. The hops do add a slight bitterness, but not nearly enough to balance things out. The finish is especially metallic and chemical tasting. Light bodied and watery with soft fizzy carbonation. I think if I had to go gluten free, I’d just dump beer all together.

(M.A. 08/2016) (1852-140616)

473ml can from Saveur Biere. Yellow-brown amber colour, white foam head and aroma of buckwheat and fruity hop. Taste is buckwheat, corn grain, sweetish, and spicy with an orangey citric hop bitterness. Medium bodied, medium carbonation, tangy bitter finish. Quite OK.

Translucent orange yellow hue with an immediately dwindling white head. Pungent aroma with notes of caramel, citrus hops, and tropical fruit. Thin bodied and partially watery. Citrus hops, pineapple, apple and caramel with a mildly bitter finish. Quite liked this gf.

Can. Pours a murky burnt orange, with a small off white head. Aroma. Is incredibly grassy, and oddly sweet, and nothing resembling hops. Mouthfeel is thin, and watery, carb is very soft. Finish is sweet, grassy, lightly butter with some odd caramel, tropical fruit think going on. What the hell is this?

Cask at cask days, Toronto. Hazy orange and no head. There’s almost no aroma, but a bit fruity and flowery notes. The taste is like honey, wonderful palate! Nice and balanced.
