Bottle 75 cl.(Bougt @ brewery-pub)Hazy mahogany-dark brown (reddish shine) color, with a creamy, beige head. Aroma roasted malt a bit spice. Medium body. Taste sweet, roasted malts, alcoholic, sweet at the end.

750ml bottle. Sweet and spicy aromas. Pours hazy dark gold. Medium body and carbonation.Taste is sweet, some fruit, caramel. Warmer. Bitternes develops with time. Tasty, but not an exceptional one.

(bottle, 75cl, Super des Fagnes Noel) Slightly unclear, chestnut-brown colour with a tall and beige foamy head. Sweet and yeasty toast-malty aroma with notes of caramel, restrained but slightly vinous fruity notes and a spicy touch of nutmeg. Slightly sugary sweet flavour, full bodied with a moderate carbonation. Slightly nutty toast-malty taste with notes of caramel, dried fruits and spicy flavours; sweet and slightly bitter finish with vinous fruity and spicy notes. The alcohol is well-covered. 26.XII.11

Bottle: Chestnut-amber coloured, stable off-white head, leaving a small lace, a tinge of cinnamon and nutmeg in the dark-malty nose; moderate sweet-tart flavour, medium bodied, not extremely soft; slightly fizzy sweet-fruity finish. Yawn.....

Pours brown with a foamy head. Aroma has strong notes of toffee, caramel, malts and spices. Taste is quite malty and fruity with notes of caramel and toffee. Finish is slightly metallic and fruity. Decent, quite sweet Belgian dark ale

Pours a light brown colour with a small white head. Aroma of caramel malts, tobacco and ash. Flavour of caramel malts, plums, tobacco, vegetables and toffee. Medium bodied, slick mouthfeel with a finish of toffee and some malts. Average.

Bottled 750ml (BZ, BB 09/2014)
Deep, clear chestnut brown color, steady beige head. Strong plum aroma with kandi sugar sweetness, later sweet aromas are tuned down. Medium-bodied. Dark fruits (dates, plums, raisins) in the flavor. Some kind of tart vibe too - maybe from alcohol. Quite simple and traditional strong Belgian (dark) ale.

Bouteille de 75cl. Couleur marron - rougeâtre, mousse moyenne de tenue moyenne. Caramélisée et assez maltée, assez amère, voire un peu âcre en fin de bouche. Trouvée à Vanuxeem - Ploegstaert.

Pours a nice dark reddish amber color. Aromas of fruit, and some other hints, maybe some spices, maybe caramel. Flavor is a bittersweet

UPDATED: DEC 26, 2011 Bottle bought at the brewpub. It poured a brown-amber liquid with a big pale brown head. Fruity smell with caramel, malt and some yeast. Similar taste. Nice beer, feels christmasy.
