Sweet and yeasty toast-malty aroma with notes of caramel, restrained but slightly vinous fruity notes and a spicy touch of nutmeg. Slightly sugary sweet flavour, full bodied with a moderate carbonation. Slightly nutty toast-malty taste with notes of caramel, dried fruits and spicy flavours; sweet and slightly bitter finish with vinous fruity and spicy notes. The alcohol is well-covered. 26.XII.11

Deep, clear chestnut brown color, steady beige head. Strong plum aroma with kandi sugar sweetness, later sweet aromas are tuned down. Medium-bodied. Dark fruits (dates, plums, raisins) in the flavor. Some kind of tart vibe too - maybe from alcohol. Quite simple and traditional strong Belgian (dark) ale.

UPDATED: DEC 26, 2011 Bottle bought at the brewpub. It poured a brown-amber liquid with a big pale brown head. Fruity smell with caramel, malt and some yeast. Similar taste. Nice beer, feels christmasy.
