Tap at the Brewpub. It pours cloudy golden yellow with a medium white head. The nose is dough, sweet pale malt, light spice, dried apricot and grass. The taste is grass, dough, spice, decent bitterness, pithy citrus and straw with a dry, bitter finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Pretty tasty and well balanced. A solid brew.

From tap at the brewpub. Pours hazy yellow to orange with a huge whitehead. Aroma is fruity, grassy and light herbal. Bitter, bone dry and grassy. Herbal to light chemical into the finish. Bitter and dry hoppy finish. Very dry and hoppy finish really.

400ml draught, between 5.5% and 6% abv, according to the barmaid. Served comfortably chilled at the Dunajska brewpub. Unclear, apricot coloured body, faint white head that laces quite well. Dry fruity aroma. Apricot, wheat and earth-like malts in the taste character. Protracted bittersweet tail. Soft in the mouth. Well bodied. A rather pleasant surprise (Bratislava, 30.07.2012).

Tap @ Brewpub, Bratislava. Day 2 RBESG 2012. Donajska taps were in bad condition when we were there. Pours cloudy golden with a small white head and lacings. Nose is fruity and hoppy with quite a lot of svovl even on the 2nd and 3rd poor/pint. Sulphur and toffee with some grass beneath. A shame.. Could have been really good.

21/07 On tap at the brewpub. It poured hazy golden body with medium sized head. Fine hay and herbal hop aroma. Flavor was nice, slightly bitter herbal but with very prominent decent biscuit and bread malts. Very well balanced. Medium bodied with long bitter herbal finish. According to both my notes this had a bit less and inferior hops, while malt is more pleasantly presented. Although those are details it might also be a tad better balanced.

RBESG ’12, Bratislava. On tap at the brewpub. Hazy golden colour, white head. Aroma is light grainy, grassy and yeasty, hint of flowers. Flavour is rather bitter, grassy, light grainy, light fruity malt, a bit more creamy, smooth and less astringently bitter than at the first location. Light bodied.

Tap @ brewery during RBESG 2012. Similar to the other offering though maybe a touch more bitter. Cloudy yellow-orange appearance with a fluffy off-white head. Floral, herbal, rustic, straw aroma. Rich straw, fairly floral/herbal, bitter, light fruity flavor with an herbal, bitter finish.

Same as the other brewpub’s beer, maybe more carbonated and slightly more rounded off. Just a tenth of a point lower.

RBESG 2012. Cloudy golden with a lasting white head. Aroma of toffee with a touch of herbal hops. Strong sulphur note like a box of matches - the numbers are assuming that this was a one-day problem with the tap line. Dryish toffee malty flavour with herbal hops and a good bitter finish.

UPDATED: JAN 21, 2013 Tap at brewery. Hazy golden color with huge white head. Malty, hoppy aroma. Taste, starts malty, but after a while is overwhelmed with hops. Nice long bitter finish. Nice.
